In late 2007, Publicis Modem pitched and won the Digital AOR duties for LG Electronics. We became part of a four agency global team including BBH, Y&R and Mindshare. Our mandate was focused on collaborating with the other agencies on the global brand campaign as well as replatforming and relaunching LG.com worldwide.
The main thing we had to solve for on LG.com was the proliferation of "marketing sites" that existed when marketing teams couldn't get what they needed from .com.
We created a flexible system that allowed the page to open up and form a "stage" for custom marketing experiences while staying one click away from the full LG catalogue.
The site was a huge change for the global organization and it allowed us to not only launch in the US but quickly roll it out to both the UK and China.
