Ascentium had been looking to rebrand for years in order to better reflect the agency's focus on full-service digital marketing and less on their systems integrator past.
During our brand definition sessions what came out was a company that cared passionately about users, about making things and about craft. Someone suggested the word "smith", as that's what we all were as craftspeople, and the idea went from there.
We found we couldn't register it or trademark it, we just had to own it. And this was a challenge that the whole agency could get behind. The phrase that stood out for us was "The smith is known by actions, not by name alone. A smith that stands out is creating something different."
We launched the new brand across the entire organization and saw renewed energy not just in our people but in clients, old and new.
